Resources

Here are some resources that have helped and inspired me.

Blogging

Bluehost : One of the best hosting services around. Simple to set up, easy to use and affordable. Used by Michael Hyatt and Jeff Goins.

WordPress: WordPress is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. It’s easy to use and install and has tons of great features.

Elegant Themes: There are lots of WordPress themes out there. But my wife and I fell in love with these guys. Beautiful designs and themes. Easy to use and personalize. Tons of features. Great customer support and tutorials. I use the Divi theme.

Canva: Their website says it all: “Amazingly simple graphic design” and I totally agree. It’s wonderful for websites, social media, really anything you can think of. It’s easy, has great tutorials and it’s FREE. I use them for all my website and social media designs/graphics.

Platform University: I spent a lot of time reading about starting a blog and founds lots of great material out there but Michael Hyatt and Platform University have managed to put it together in one place. He encourages you and gives you the tools and advice to really put yourself out there. Every month there are new videos, Q&A’s and lots more. The forums are full of people helping each other with great ideas and suggestions.

MailChimp: Building an email list is really important and these guys are great. Simple interface and great analytics.

Writing

Jeff Goins: Jeff is an outstanding writer and blogger. His books and his posts have really helped me in starting my own platform.
